Aftercare Instructions

Proper aftercare is essential to your new tattoo. Happy healing!

  • Description texKeep the second skin on for 1–3 days (24 hours minimum).

For easiest removal, take it off under running water or in the shower. Gently peel—do not pull dry.

If you experience any irritation or reaction, remove it and contact me immediately.

Any sticky residue left on the skin is normal and will come off with gentle washing. If you notice residue or fluid inside the bandage, that is also normal.t goes here

  • Remove the plastic wrap after 3–4 hours.
    Do not rewrap the tattoo.

  • Gently rinse the tattoo using antibacterial, unscented soap.
Examples include Dial or Dr. Bronner’s (unscented).

  • Apply a thin layer of tattoo ointment for 2–3 days.
Recommended options include A&D, Aquaphor, or Hustle Butter.

Do not overapply—too much ointment can clog pores and interfere with healing.

After 2–3 days, switch to an unscented lotion and apply as you would to any other part of your body. Use just enough to moisturize, not a thick layer. The tattoo needs to breathe in order to dry and peel properly.

Examples include Lubriderm or Eucerin. Unscented products are required.

  • Do not rewrap, soak, scrub, scratch, or pick at your tattoo.

This means no baths, pools, beaches, or direct sun exposure, and avoid excessive sweating until the tattoo has fully closed and begun peeling.

Healing can take several weeks, and in some cases up to a month. Treat your tattoo like an open wound—keep it clean, dry, and protected.

  • One complimentary first touch-up is included with every tattoo.
